The
Art Devlin Statue
On June 13th
2008 a life-size bronze statue of Art was placed at the bottom of the
120-meter Ski Jump to honor Art’s life and accomplishments.
Around one hundred people turned out for the dedication ceremony.
Town supervisor Robi Politi was Master of Ceremonies followed by
Ted Blazer the CEO of ORDA, Jay Rand of the ski jumping committee, Art
Devlin Jr. representing the Devlin family, and Rob Eccleston the
sculptor of the statue. The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of
the statue and followed by Lake Placid local Colin Delaney giving
a salutatory jump off the 90-meter jump.
